I visited the New Paltz campus for the first time on Wednesday September 18, 2019. I enjoy visiting colleges and take pictures. What surprised me is how dated the campus looked. It reminded of the school I attended in the early seventies. Almost like going back into time. I did ask someone if there are any new buildings or on going construction and she said yes but I didn't see very much activity. I visited the campus art gallery it was wonderful. The campus has a couple of lakes but other than that, the SUNY New Paltz campus is as dull as dishwater.
I read all these comments apparently don't seem true it's been two days my daughter have not received her packages now her birthday will be ruin because of all those staffs I see from the employer lists but it's funny how on a voice-mail message indicates if you have medications come to the mail window with your school ID and tracking wow that is mess up. I'm beginning to think this not a good school they don't answer phone's or emails but one person responded out of 4 people that they were back up this past holiday which I understand well but still all those employees makes no sense. This will be a long journey for my daughter with all this mishaps and holds up.
There's Truly would not trade my undergrad experience for the world. Located in a beautiful town, had amazing professors, and incredible opportunities to take part in extracurricular/jobs.
I love my old school 🙃 Kathleen from the international student office is doing a great job; she was always helpful. I send my greetings to her. Also, I loved going to the theater performances at school. They are very successful 💯 …
Attended SUNY New Paltz in the fall of 1992. Great professors and great courses. Student body interesting. However, I'm currently looking for a former professor, Dr. Barbara Scott.
Counselors help with nothing , food is terrible, and if you’re a transfer they delay you for more money. Also if your a poc don’t come here just a bunch of white aggressive fake activist.
I had a very bad experience at this university and I don't recommend parents to send their children here. I finished my undergrad here a while back but I am not proud of the "education" I received and don't feel like I learned anything more here that I could have gotten on YouTube for free. I found the quality of education, equipment and facilities to all be a downgrade from my highschool. Some of the professors seemed to genuinely care, but I guess like most NY state schools nowadays the campus and overall atmosphere was one injected with political and cultural ideology and picking favorites. I also found the administration at the school seemed more focused on money grabs and inclusivity quotas than on actually nurturing quality education and passionately guiding the students in a productive pathway for their degrees. I wasted about a year on useless classes that didn't count towards my selected field due to poor guidance and bad advice from the administration.
This looks like a great school. Beautiful views of the mountains and reasonable distance from the city. Kids we talked to seem to be happy here.
